Most people either loved going to the dentist as a kid—or absolutely hated it. Where did you fall? How come?

I absolutely loved it! I never remember having a bad experience so I am hoping I can do the same for my patients. Also, you can never beat that "clean, fresh, feeling" after getting a cleaning from your Dental Hygienist.

What (or who) inspired you to get into dentistry? How so?

I began my dental career as a dental assistant. That's when I fell in love with the profession. dental assisting was great, but I decided that being a dental hygienist was my calling. I enjoy the personal relationships I can develop with patients and building a rapport with them so they can trust me with their dental needs. Also, in 7th grade I wanted to be a dentist, I think its because both of my parents were medical doctors so I felt the need to go into some type of healthcare. I've always felt the need to help people so why not help them with their teeth!

What’s the most rewarding part of your job?

Knowing that I've made a difference in someone's smile, either by the services I provide or them being impressed with the office's environment and culture, is very rewarding for me. I also enjoy educating patients on the current status of their teeth and giving them tips and tricks on how to better their smile.
