What (or who) inspired you to get into dentistry? How so? My orthodontist, Dr. Amy Traore Shumbusho. She was the first female dentist I had seen growing up in Nigeria, and her work on me completely changed my life. I used to smile with my hand over my mouth, and getting orthodontic work completed by her improved my self-confidence. I would be a different, less vibrant version of myself without her. She inspired me to become a dentist because I want to pay it forward, and give the confidence of a healthy, beautiful smile to others.

How do you recharge after a long week? What’s your go-to activity for hitting the restart button? Watching Grey's Anatomy! As long as they keep making it, I'll keep watching it. Excited for season 18!

What is the absolute coolest thing about the human mouth? The hardest substance in the human body is tooth enamel!

When I’m in the patient chair, I’m probably grooving to {blank} in my headphones. Afrobeats!

What’s something that really, really, really makes you smile? Like, really? Watching a person's face light up as they talk about things they are passionate about.
