Most people either loved going to the dentist as a kid—or absolutely hated it. Where did you fall? How come?

I absolutely hated the dentist as a child. My parent's were immigrants to the United States and did not realize the importance of oral health care, as a result I had many cavities as a child. As I grew older I came to love going to the dentist after learning how to take care of my mouth and teeth.

What’s the most rewarding part of your job?

I go on a journey with each member and it's wonderful to get to the end and see all of the success we have achieved together.

What’s your dream toothpaste flavor?

Mango Mint Smoothie, hold the milk.

__What’s something your patients might be surprised to learn about you? __

I played the violin for 9 years.

How do you recharge after a long week? What’s your go-to activity for hitting the restart button?

My favorite re-charge activity is hiking one of the DMV's (DC, Maryland, Virginia) many beautiful trails.

What dental stereotype are you most passionate about changing?

Going to the dentist is painful (please let me change your mind).

__What is the absolute coolest thing about the human mouth? __

The human mouth is the gateway to the human body, it plays a very important role and can tell us a lot about your health!

In another life, if you weren’t working in dentistry, what would you be doing?

Forensic Anthropology or Archaeologist

When I’m in the patient chair, I’m probably grooving to {blank} in my headphones.
