Most people either loved going to the dentist as a kid—or absolutely hated it. Where did you fall? How come?

I hated going to the dental as a child. I had very traumatic experiences during dental treatment. I have since overcome my fear of dental office and want to help my patients overcome their anxiety and fear.

What (or who) inspired you to get into dentistry? How so?

THe hygienist in my former dentist’s office. She made me very comfortable, calmed my fears and took very good care of me emotionally and oral health wise.

What’s the most rewarding part of your job?

The interactions with my patients. Educating them on proper oral hygiene and helping them keep their smiles healthy.

Green apple

How do you recharge after a long week? What’s your go-to activity for hitting the restart button?

Exercise, reading and spending time with family and friends.

In another life, if you weren’t working in dentistry, what would you be doing?

Nursing
