Most people either loved going to the dentist as a kid—or absolutely hated it. Where did you fall? How come?
Loved the dentist- no cavities :)
What (or who) inspired you to get into dentistry? How so?
My uncle who was a pilot and a cigar smoker had oral cancer when I was young and had to get his whole jaw and tongue removed because it wasn’t detected early enough. Eventually it metastasized and was fatal despite the surgery due to late detection. It impressed upon me the importance of early detection and routine dental exams which still are not a thing in my country due to lack of awareness and access.
