What (or who) inspired you to get into dentistry? How so?

When I was in high school, I went to an oral surgeon whose kind demeanor and excellent clinical skills made me realize what a profound difference a skilled dentist can make, and inspired me to pursue a career in dentistry.

What’s the most rewarding part of your job?

Dentistry can have a big impact on a person's physical appearance and their psychosocial well-being. Eliminating people's pain and discomfort while providing them with a great smile can make a huge difference in their lives, and I find that the most rewarding part of my job.

What’s your dream toothpaste flavor?

Dark chocolate and peanut butter cookie (I'm thinking Levain bakery!)

How do you recharge after a long week? What’s your go-to activity for hitting the restart button?

Going out to a restaurant with friends (or having people over for dinner) and sharing a nice meal, good conversation, and lots of laughter.

What dental stereotype are you most passionate about changing?

Going to the dentist is scary and painful. It doesn't have to be!

In another life, if you weren’t working in dentistry, what would you be doing?

Probably working in the travel industry or a job that takes me to different countries to learn about different cultures.

When I’m in the patient chair, I’m probably grooving to {blank} in my headphones.
