What (or who) inspired you to get into dentistry? How so?
My grandfather inspired me to get into dentistry. Everyone always knew him in my hometown due to his work. I strive to be a similar member of my community who is able to meet a ton of people.
What’s the most rewarding part of your job?
When a patient tells me they trust me. It is not easy to gain someone’s trust after such limited interaction, and so when I’m able to make someone feel comfortable it makes me feel like I’m doing a good job.
What famous person (alive or dead) is your dream dental patient? Why?
Taylor Swift because she probably has really cool stories, and can keep her mouth open for a long period of time if needed.
What’s your dream toothpaste flavor?
I love black raspberry ice cream and it would definitely be a great flavor.
How do you recharge after a long week? What’s your go-to activity for hitting the restart button?
I love cooking for a ton of people. Especially making homemade sauce on a Sunday and inviting a ton of people over for family dinner.
What dental stereotype are you most passionate about changing?
The stereotype that the dentist is greedy and not looking out for patients' best interests. The reason why most of us got in the profession is for the people and not the money!
What is the absolute coolest thing about the human mouth?
Losing your baby teeth and getting a second pair is probably the wildest thing nature has ever created. How did that happen evolutionarily and why does it just stop at two sets?
In another life, if you weren’t working in dentistry, what would you be doing?
I would love to be a cruise director. Someone who plans a ton of activities and keeps the party going for others. I love entertaining!
