Most people either loved going to the dentist as a kid—or absolutely hated it. Where did you fall? How come?

I loved going to the dentist as a kid. My mom made sure we stayed on top of our overall health so no appointments missed. My dentist growing up was great and my experiences at the dental office are part of the reason I chose to be in this field.

What (or who) inspired you to get into dentistry? How so?

My pageant mentor inspired me to be a Dental Hygienist. She was a long time Dental Hygienist turned office manager and being around her and seeing how flexible her life was it sparked my interest. Not knowing much about dentistry I told her I wanted to be a Dental Assistant and she said no ma'am do your research. I did my research and here I am—your favorite Dental Hygenius.

What’s the most rewarding part of your job?

Making people SMILE!

What famous person (alive or dead) is your dream dental patient? Why?

Megan Thee Stallion!! That's my sister I never met.

What’s your dream toothpaste flavor?

Southern Peach Cobbler - Not out the box but Homemade from scratch!

What dental stereotype are you most passionate about changing?

Dentistry is not a key piece to overall health.

In another life, if you weren’t working in dentistry, what would you be doing?

I would be a Chef but not the fancy kind, The one who cooks the good food but presentation is not that great.

When I’m in the patient chair, I’m probably grooving to {blank} in my headphones.
