Most people either loved going to the dentist as a kid—or absolutely hated it. Where did you fall? How come?

I always liked going to the dentist as a kid, but I really fell in love with the profession the I attended the dental hygiene clinic at Hostos as a patient and got to experience how much a hygienist can do.

What (or who) inspired you to get into dentistry? How so?

My college advisor back in high school inspired me. I always knew I wanted to be in the health profession.

What’s the most rewarding part of your job?

The most rewarding part of my job is the feeling of joy I received after helping others achieve the smile they desired by either cleaning, referring and/or educating them.

How do you recharge after a long week? What’s your go-to activity for hitting the restart button?

My go-to activity is visiting the park in my inline skates while listening to music. If the weather allows.

In another life, if you weren’t working in dentistry, what would you be doing?

If I wasn't working in dentistry, I would be working as a Marine Conservationist.

When I’m in the patient chair, I’m probably grooving to {blank} in my headphones.

I'm probably grooving to the 'Weeknd' in my headphones
