He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Loma Linda University School of Dentistry in 2019. Dr. Dewberry has practiced in Southern California and Tennessee, offering comprehensive dental services. Dr. Lydia Lancaster
Dr. Lydia Lancaster is a part-time orthodontist at Tend East Nashville, where she provides expert guidance and treatment planning for patients looking to straighten and improve their smiles. She earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from The Ohio State University College of Dentistry, where she built a strong foundation in both clinical orthodontics and patient care.
With experience in a wide range of orthodontic treatments—from clear aligners to braces—Dr. Lancaster focuses on delivering results that are both functional and confidence-boosting. The staff and dentists at Tend are wonderful! When I had a dental emergency, they were there to get me fixed up- even on the snow day! And they have been excellent for regular cleanings too! The dental hygienist give so much great education and work extremely hard to keep my teeth clean.
So, I am really into posh looking stuff, so aesthetically this place is leagues above what I’m used to from dentists. But to be honest, I fully expected the staff to be less than ideal. It was the exact opposite; from the front desk to the back, everyone is really polished (ba dum, tish), knowledge and caring. Every client, including myself are made to feel at home and just have a peaceful vibe about us when we leave. I’m usually an unnecessarily blunt person, and I couldn’t have more good things to say about Tend - East Nashville. If you’re looking for a dentist that will provide clear and informative recommendations, then I present you with Tend. So far, 11/10

I’ve visited several Tend dental offices in both NYC and Boston, but the Kendall Square location is hands down one of my favorites. I always get a bit anxious about dental visits, but the moment I walked in, the team made me feel so welcome! Kimberly Nguyen, the hygienist who took care of me, was incredibly thorough in explaining what needed to be done, yet still so kind and patient. She really helped ease my nerves. Highly recommend this location. 10/10!

My first time at Tend and I’m glad I followed through with my appointment. Their office is really nice and clean and everyone was really friendly. My hygienist and Dentist were Shacore and Dr. Abernathy and they were both amazing. Shacore made me laugh the entire time and tried her best to make me feel comfortable. I would definitely go back.
From the time I walked in to the time I walked out, a class act! II thought it was going to be really expensive and someone hovering over me just ringing up the cash register. This was not the case. If you don't need it, they won't push it on you, however, they give you the option and pricing up front.
Dr. Tara is truly the best! I’ve never had a dentist make me feel more comfortable in their chair when getting dental work. If I could rate her 10 stars out of 10, I would!

Tend was able to settle my anxiety around not having gone to the dentist in 7+ years. The experience was seamless from the moment i entered to when i left. The best part was definitely the cleaning process, where my dental hygienist...was able to remove all the build-up on my teeth that had accumulated over a long period of time meanwhile minimizing the pain. She was so friendly and took the time to clearly explain the results of her examination...She was all-around skilled and professional and so kind.
I took my mother to this medical practice today, which was a refreshing change from our previous experiences. My mother, who doesn't speak English, often found it challenging to communicate at other clinics. However, this practice stood out by offering interpreter services, a feature we hadn't encountered elsewhere. This was a significant positive aspect for us. We’ll also review your dental history, talk about your goals (whether it’s improving your oral health or brightening your smile), and give you time to ask questions—without feeling rushed.

We recommend coming in for a cleaning and checkup every six months, which is the standard for most patients. These regular visits help us catch small issues—like early signs of decay or gum disease—before they become more serious or expensive to treat.
However, some patients may need to come in more frequently, especially if they have a history of gum disease, wear orthodontic appliances like aligners, or are more prone to plaque buildup. Your dentist will work with you to create a personalized care plan based on your needs, so you’re always getting the right level of care at the right time.
Even if everything looks great, cleanings help remove plaque and tartar that you can’t get rid of with brushing and flossing alone—and they’re key to keeping your smile feeling fresh and looking its best.
Call us at 212-257-3455. Just make sure to do so more than 48 hours before your appointment time. If you cancel or reschedule less than 48 hours in advance, we’ll have to charge you a $50 fee. If you don’t make it at all, we’ll have to charge you a $100 fee. This is because we reserved that time specifically for you, and our appointments are in high demand.
