Dr. Jacob Parker
Dr. Jacob Parker brings precision, professionalism, and warmth to his role as a general dentist at Tend East Village. He earned his DMD from Roseman University College of Dental Medicine and served as a dentist in the U.S. Navy Dental Corps, where he developed a strong foundation in comprehensive dental care across a variety of patient populations.
With a focus on communication, comfort, and clinical excellence, Dr. Parker is dedicated to helping patients feel confident about their oral health. From preventive visits to restorative treatments, he provides a steady hand and clear guidance—ensuring your smile gets the care it deserves.
Dr. Fatihma Haidar
Dr. Fatihma Haidar is a general dentist at Tend’s East Village studio, where she delivers compassionate, thorough dental care tailored to each individual’s needs. She completed her dental training at West Virginia University Hospitals (Ruby Memorial Hospital), gaining clinical experience in both preventive and restorative dentistry.
Known for her calm demeanor and attention to detail, Dr. Haidar takes time to walk patients through their care and build trust at every visit. Definitely the most positive experience I’ve had at a dentist!! The nurse was so sweet and made sure to let me know everything we were going to be doing, and made sure that I was comfortable and not nervous about anything. Same for the dentist- he was very clear about my procedure and what to expect, and did not pressure me to go through with anything that made me nervous. The actual procedure also went perfectly. The woman at the front was also very clear and helpful with me about exactly how my treatment plan and payment would work. Cannot say enough good things about my experience here!!
One of the best experiences I’ve had since my childhood dentist. I hat a kind and loving staff all the way through !! The front desk is very welcoming, the Hygenist is so attentive and the Dentist is very informative and answers all questions. The televisions on the ceiling and offering moisturizer for the lips are such a nice nod to the care and comfort of the patients. Thank you for such a wonderful experience.

As a person with some dentist anxiety this was a nerve wracking appointment. Oksana took such great care of me and was so patient. It was easy to trust them and everyone made me very comfortable.
I took my mother to this medical practice today, which was a refreshing change from our previous experiences. My mother, who doesn't speak English, often found it challenging to communicate at other clinics. However, this practice stood out by offering interpreter services, a feature we hadn't encountered elsewhere. This was a significant positive aspect for us. Additionally, I want to extend special thanks to the store manager, Leslie, and our hygienist Edith for her exceptional assistance throughout our visit.
The best part was definitely the cleaning process, where my dental hygienist...was able to remove all the build-up on my teeth that had accumulated over a long period of time meanwhile minimizing the pain. She was so friendly and took the time to clearly explain the results of her examination...She was all-around skilled and professional and so kind.

I have been extremely impressed by Tend especially this location! The staff here are very friendly and take the time to explain everything and teach how to improve your oral health. My first time at Tend and I’m glad I followed through with my appointment. Their office is really nice and clean and everyone was really friendly. My hygienist and Dentist were Shacore and Dr. Abernathy and they were both amazing. Shacore made me laugh the entire time and tried her best to make me feel comfortable. I would definitely go back.
The best experience ever. I’ve been pretty apprehensive about trying other dentists as my dentist of many years does not offer time based on my availability. However the staff at Tend Capitol Hill completely changed that for me. From the beginning to end ,the experience was exceptional. The front desk staff person was very nice upon entering and even took additional time to assist me at checkout. My hygienist, Damien was so kind, gentle and explained everything to me. My last visit was perfection!
Wonderful experience at Tend Rockefeller. The staff members are friendly, the facility is super clean and modern, and my dentist Dr. Vana B is amazing. She explains the procedures very thoroughly and she is attentive. Excellent work. Dental assistant Rosa ensured I was comfortable and well-cared for throughout my appointment. From the greeting at the front desk staff to the doctor and assistants, I had a seamless experience at Tend for my root canal treatment. Outstanding experience! My appointment was on time and everything was explained to me before services were provided. I was especially impressed with their Lead Hygienist (Louis), who was incredibly thorough and a pleasure to deal with. He devoted his full attention to me and I felt like I was the only patient receiving care. So happy to have found a location that I will use as my regular dental provider. Definitely try them out - you'll love it there!

Absolutely love this dentist. Every time I’ve been, the hygienist has been spectacular and so nice and fun. They’re not pushy, take time to explain things I’ve treatments are needed, and are efficient in their operations. Oh and also the place is really clean and modern, which is a total plus. From the time I walked in to the time I walked out, a class act! II thought it was going to be really expensive and someone hovering over me just ringing up the cash register. This was not the case. If you don't need it, they won't push it on you, however, they give you the option and pricing up front.

Your first visit will include a comprehensive exam, a detailed review of your oral health, and time to talk through any concerns or goals you have. We’ll make sure you feel informed, comfortable, and fully supported from the moment you walk in.
Your first visit is designed to be both thorough and welcoming. Here’s what it includes:
- A complete dental exam to assess your teeth, gums, bite, and overall oral health
- Digital x-rays for a detailed look below the surface (with significantly lower radiation than traditional x-rays)
- A gentle, professional cleaning tailored to your needs
- A one-on-one conversation with your dentist, who will walk you through any findings, answer your questions, and create a treatment plan if needed
We’ll also review your dental history, talk about your goals (whether it’s improving your oral health or brightening your smile), and give you time to ask questions—without feeling rushed.
The environment is designed to feel calm and spa-like, so you can relax and actually enjoy taking care of your smile.
We recommend coming in for a cleaning and checkup every six months, which is the standard for most patients. These regular visits help us catch small issues—like early signs of decay or gum disease—before they become more serious or expensive to treat.
However, some patients may need to come in more frequently, especially if they have a history of gum disease, wear orthodontic appliances like aligners, or are more prone to plaque buildup. Your dentist will work with you to create a personalized care plan based on your needs, so you’re always getting the right level of care at the right time.
Even if everything looks great, cleanings help remove plaque and tartar that you can’t get rid of with brushing and flossing alone—and they’re key to keeping your smile feeling fresh and looking its best.
Call us at 212-257-3455. Just make sure to do so more than 48 hours before your appointment time. If you cancel or reschedule less than 48 hours in advance, we’ll have to charge you a $50 fee. If you don’t make it at all, we’ll have to charge you a $100 fee. This is because we reserved that time specifically for you, and our appointments are in high demand.
