Dr. Angela Abernathy
Dr. Angela Abernathy blends deep clinical knowledge with a warm, patient-first approach. She earned her DDS from the Meharry Medical College School of Dentistry and completed postdoctoral training at the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, where she honed her skills in comprehensive and restorative care. Dr. Abernathy is a proud member of the American Dental Association, New York State Dental Association, and the Academy of General Dentistry. At Tend Wall Street, she focuses on personalized, preventative care and creating a comfortable, judgment-free space where patients feel heard, respected, and supported in their health goals.
Dr. Joel Ayon
Dr. Joel Ayon is a board-certified oral surgeon serving multiple Tend studios, including Flatiron, Wall Street, Grand Central, Upper West Side, and Park Slope. He earned his DDS from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, and is fluent in both English and Spanish, allowing him to connect with a wide range of patients.
Dr. Ayon specializes in extractions, wisdom teeth removal, and other complex oral surgery procedures. Known for his calm demeanor and steady hand, he helps patients feel at ease—even during treatments that might seem intimidating.
Dr. Nicole Teehan
Dr. Nicole Teehan is an experienced oral surgeon seeing patients at Tend Flatiron, Wall Street, Williamsburg, and Chelsea. She earned her DDS from the Loma Linda University School of Dentistry and completed her oral surgery residency at Brookdale Hospital Medical Center in New York.
Dr. Teehan specializes in wisdom teeth removal, extractions, and surgical consults, with a focus on clear communication and minimizing patient anxiety. She works collaboratively with Tend dentists across NYC to provide seamless care for patients needing surgical support.
Dr. Carol Yacoub
Dr. Carol Yacoub brings a calm, clear approach to dentistry, making every visit feel more approachable and empowering. She earned her DDS from the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry, then completed her residency at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center, where she refined her skills in both routine and complex care. At Tend Wall Street, Dr. Yacoub focuses on prevention and education, helping patients understand their oral health and feel confident in their care decisions.
Dr. Vali Gasimov
Dr. Vali Gasimov provides dental care that is rooted in precision, communication, and trust. He earned his DDS from the New York University College of Dentistry, followed by clinical training at One Brooklyn Health, where he gained experience treating a wide range of oral health needs. Our Wall Street Studio is on the second floor of the historic Wall and Hanover Building, near the New York Stock Exchange. When you open the door, you’ll enter our dedicated elevator vestibule. We’re right upstairs. We offer a full range of services, with an emphasis on safety.

And I thought having nextflix on was a gimmick but they have a tv on the ceiling for you to watch along with sanitized headphones. Helped make the time pass quickly. They accepted my insurance and told me their costs prior to my appointment. They were punctual and didn't make me wait in the lobby at all. You get to watch Netflix during your appointment. Thank goodness for Milana @ Wall St location. The Dentist is not my favorite place and my anxiety is pretty high each time I visit but Milana’s energy was very calming upon arrival. I recently joined as a new patient. I got a cleaning, and then a few fillings shortly thereafter. My experiences have been amazing. The staff are very friendly and welcoming yet also professional, you get to watch TV while they're doing the work, the office is very modern and elegant, and I especially felt welcomed as a queer person. Looking forward to coming back.
My first time at Tend and I’m glad I followed through with my appointment. Their office is really nice and clean and everyone was really friendly. My hygienist and Dentist were Shacore and Dr. Abernathy and they were both amazing. Shacore made me laugh the entire time and tried her best to make me feel comfortable. I would definitely go back.
The whole process was painless and being upfront with the billing is so helpful! I hate how most offices have you guessing how much treatments cost. Best part my insurance covered the visit in full! No copay! I actually can’t wait for my next visit!

Because of my absolute hatred of the dentist, it had admittedly been a few years since I’d had a cleaning and they found a decent number of cavities they will have to fill but they were so nice and chill about the whole thing and didn’t make me feel embarrassed about the number of fillings I was going to need to get.
I went for a routine check up and cleaning, the staff was amazing and attentive to my needs. Starting with Kayla at the front desk to the hygienist Emily and Dr.Pickett. Seamless experience, friendly staff, and clean office.

I don’t have enough good things to say about Tend. I have had a history of dental anxiety but now for the first time in my life, I look forward to going to the dentist. Everyone who works there, from the front desk staff, to the hygienists to the dentists and orthodontists are all kind, welcoming and knowledgeable.
I went to tend for a cleaning for the first time recently and they did an excellent job. My hygienist, Gabby, was very friendly and accommodating. She was very gentle with my teeth and made sure to check in throughout the cleaning to see if I was experiencing any sensitivity or pain. They also handled my insurance very well and informed me of the cost breakdown ahead of time. Overall I am very happy with the service I received and the price that I paid
First visit at TEND Navy Yard and I was blown away from the experience. You’re greeted on site by a friendly receptionist and met with a beautiful modern lounge. You receive a gift for your inaugural visit which was a nice surprise and there’s an app to follow appointments and visit notes. In closing, I was sent to the back in a timely manner by 9:30a which was my appointment, the monitor screen was very personal and welcoming. The orthodontist was extremely friendly and answered all my questions, I look forward to my next visit. I found my new home.
Wasn’t looking forward to my root canal but Dr. Yu made it painless. Managed to go about my day right after the procedure. It’s been a few days since the procedure but so far so good. Also the Studio Manager, Neday was so extremely helpful. Thank you all.
When I came in, the team was so gentle with my cleaning and I never felt judged. I didnt get flossed shamed and when it came time to review my teeth, [the dentist] took the time to show me my xrays, where my cavity was (no dentist has ever done this for me) which I really appreciated.
The staff are so kind. The doctors take the time to talk to you and explain things clearly as well present options to you to make you feel comfortable. I don’t like the dentist’s in general and I enjoy going to TEND every time. 10/10 would recommend to everyone!
The time between when I first made contact with Tend and when I had my custom night guard in my hand was 15 days, which has to be some sort of record. All for about half the price that other dentists in the area quoted me. The dentist and her hygienist/assistant were very kind, knowledgeable, and prompt. I’m very grateful to Tend!
The cleanest & most welcoming facility! I have seen two dentists- both were quick, thorough, and communicated with me throughout my visit. Dr. Alexa even hummed (v well!) through my fillings 😂 She took the extra time to floss my fluoride treatment through my teeth, even though it was a particularly busy morning. Also- the toothbrushes in their guest bags are the best. Highly recommend!
Tend has made dental care a breeze! From the moment you step in, everyone is super friendly and helpful. They make it easy to schedule appointments and the entertainment during treatment is a nice touch.
The best experience ever. I’ve been pretty apprehensive about trying other dentists as my dentist of many years does not offer time based on my availability. However the staff at Tend Capitol Hill completely changed that for me. From the beginning to end ,the experience was exceptional. The front desk staff person was very nice upon entering and even took additional time to assist me at checkout. My hygienist, Damien was so kind, gentle and explained everything to me. My last visit was perfection!

I have been going to Tend Navy Yard since 2021. They set me up with an incredible treatment plan that has allowed me to progress through all the procedures that I needed. My latest treatment earlier this year with Dr. Cevallos and Alexa was perfect. The care and attention to detail made all the difference. All the scheduling and insurance admins for my visits have been done without issues. A very professional and friendly group at Tend! This photo is from my visit last Sept 2024.
They also had contactless payment, and let me know up front that there would be no cost associated with my visit based on my insurance. I’ll definitely be back! This is how all dentists should be!

We’ll show you the maximum cost for your dental visit, so you’ll never pay more than you expect. We recommend coming in for a cleaning and checkup every six months, which is the standard for most patients. These regular visits help us catch small issues—like early signs of decay or gum disease—before they become more serious or expensive to treat.
However, some patients may need to come in more frequently, especially if they have a history of gum disease, wear orthodontic appliances like aligners, or are more prone to plaque buildup. Your dentist will work with you to create a personalized care plan based on your needs, so you’re always getting the right level of care at the right time.

Call us at 212-257-3455. Just make sure to do so more than 48 hours before your appointment time. If you cancel or reschedule less than 48 hours in advance, we’ll have to charge you a $50 fee. If you don’t make it at all, we’ll have to charge you a $100 fee. This is because we reserved that time specifically for you, and our appointments are in high demand.
