Absolutely amazing. They are gentle, warm, and reassuring. As someone who has dental anxiety, I felt fully at ease during an emergency root canal. I would recommend Dr. Patel especially. She is phenomenal, and I am so thankful for them. The reception is so kind and sweet, and they truly want you to feel at ease. 10/10 would recommend to everyone.

Her gentle approach and attention to detail make every appointment a positive experience. I truly appreciate her dedication to her patients and highly recommend her to anyone looking for exceptional care.

Tend is always an excellent experience! They run on time and all of the dentists and hygienists are knowledgeable and friendly! My dentist was Dr. Patel and she had the best bedside patient care and explained everything on my X-rays. I can’t wait to see her again!!

This is the first dentist I’ve been to in Manhattan, and I definitely will be coming back. I needed a chip fixed in my front teeth, and now my teeth look better than they have in a decade. The staff was very friendly, and Dr. Bailey, the dentist, was incredible. Very helpful and did a great job. Highly recommend.

I heard about Tend a few times and decided to walk in to ask about their office, since I do live nearby, and I was treated so kindly by Melissa at the reception. She was super sweet, knowledgeable, and patient because I had way too many questions. I’m really excited to try Tend out when I’m back from vacation. Appreciate the help I received!

You can securely pay your bill online with easy, encrypted options like HSA/FSA cards, credit or debit cards, Apple Pay/Google Pay, and more. Through our partner Cedar, you can view your insurance details, track balances, receive reminders, and even set up a custom 0% interest payment plan that fits your budget.
We also offer flexible financing through CareCredit, a healthcare-focused credit option that lets approved patients spread out their dental costs in convenient monthly payments, including for care not fully covered by insurance.
Before any treatment, we’ll clearly explain your expected costs and payment choices so you feel confident moving forward
Most patients should return for a cleaning and checkup every six months. These regular visits help us catch small issues, such as early signs of decay or gum disease, before they become more serious or expensive to treat.
However, some patients may need to visit more frequently, especially if they have a history of gum disease, wear orthodontic appliances like aligners, or are more prone to plaque buildup. Your dentist will create a personalized care plan to support lifelong dental wellness for you and your loved ones, ensuring that you receive the right level of care.
Even if everything looks great, cleanings help remove plaque and tartar that brushing and flossing alone can't remove, and they’re key to keeping your smile feeling fresh and looking its best.
Yes, our dental professionals are accepting new patients to Tend Dental Upper East Side! Whether it’s been six months or six years since your last dental appointment, we aim to help you feel at ease during your visit. We pride ourselves on providing judgment-free, stress-free dental care where trust is built into every visit.
Your first visit will include a complete dental exam, a detailed review of your oral health, and the opportunity to discuss any concerns or goals you have. We want you to feel informed, comfortable, and fully supported during every visit to our studio.
We accept many major dental insurance plans, with support to help you navigate your coverage and benefits.
Some of the insurers we partner with include Delta Dental, Aetna, Cigna, UnitedHealthcare, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Empire Blue Cross Blue Shield, Guardian, MetLife, United Concordia, Principal, Oxford Health Plans, and Ameritas.
Your first visit is designed to be both thorough and welcoming. Here’s what you can expect:
A complete dental exam to assess your teeth, gums, bite, and overall oral health
Digital X-rays offer detailed images below the surface with much lower radiation than traditional X-rays
A gentle, professional cleaning tailored to your needs
A one-on-one with your dentist to review findings, answer questions, and create a treatment plan if needed
We will take the time to review your dental history, discuss your goals (whether it’s improving your oral health or making cosmetic changes), and provide you with ample time to ask questions without feeling rushed.
Our studio is designed to feel calm and welcoming, allowing you to relax and actually enjoy taking care of your smile.
If you need to cancel or reschedule for any reason, call us at (646) 494-8549. We ask that you please do so at least 48 hours before your scheduled appointment time. Noticing a little bleeding when you brush or floss? It’s more common than you might think and generally pretty easy to fix. Here’s what your gums might be trying to tell you, plus simple ways to get them feeling healthy again.
Flossing once a day is one of the simplest ways to protect your smile, but there’s a little more to it than just going through the motions. Here’s what dentists recommend, why it works, and how to make it part of your routine.
Choosing a dentist for your family is a decision that shapes how your kids will feel about dental visits well into adulthood, and how easy it is to maintain your family's oral health over time. So instead of asking, “Which dentist is closest?” a better question might be: Which one actually fits how we live?
