Dr. Marissa Obiedzinski
Dr. Marissa Obiedzinski is a skilled general dentist with experience in many phases of dentistry, including periodontics, operative, fixed and removable prosthodontics, endodontics, oral surgery, and more. This allows patients to see her for comprehensive treatment planning with one doctor in an organized and efficient setting.
Dr. Obiedzinski understands that dentistry can be a stressful experience, so she focuses on building positive rapport with her patients by fully explaining everything she does and the reasoning behind it. She keeps her patients informed during each step of the dental process, making each visit as comfortable as possible.
Dr. Obiedzinski began her involvement in dentistry in high school, where she worked as a dental assistant. She completed her undergraduate degree in chemical biology at Stevens Institute of Technology before beginning dental training at Rutgers School of Dental Medicine. She then finished her residency at Bronx Lebanon Hospital Center, where she spent a year focusing on each phase of dentistry with specialists in the field. She also has experience working in the emergency room, making her comfortable in treating patients needing emergency treatment.
When she’s not in the office, Dr. Obiedzinski enjoys running and recently completed her first half marathon. She also loves reading, baking, and spending time with her family and friends.

Dr. Samantha Philip brings a compassionate, steady presence to each appointment. She trained at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital – Queens, where she gained deep experience treating a wide range of dental conditions and patient needs. He earned his DDS from the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine, where he developed a strong foundation in both restorative and preventative care. Dr. Karen Chileuitt
With a calm demeanor and clinical depth, Dr. Karen Chileuitt delivers dental care that’s as thoughtful as it is thorough. She earned her DMD from the Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine and completed her residency at One Brooklyn Health, where she treated a wide range of patient needs. Great experience getting a tooth filling redone in my first visit. Both the doctor and dental hygienist were super friendly and made the procedure quick and easy. Although my insurance is paying for most of the treatment, I really appreciate how upfront and straightforward they are about the cost of the treatment.

I give my experience with tend a 10 out of 10. From walking into a beautiful inviting space and getting useful welcome gift, to staff and practitioners using your preferred name, it immediately sets you at ease. I especially loved walking into the hygienist suite where the TV monitor showed my message “Hello Manna, we’ve prepared this suite just for you.“ Each person I encountered was kind and attentive to comfort needs. They thoroughly explained each step of the process for examining my teeth then the doctor’s consultation followed by the cleaning. I am so glad that my insurance plan is in network with Tend because there isn’t another place. I’d trust with my dental health.

She educated me on some things, was very friendly, very gentle with the cleaning because I have very sensitive teeth. They never push anything on you and they’re very thorough with their cleanings. It’s also a very clean environment which you definitely want! I’d highly recommend!
Wasn’t looking forward to my root canal but Dr. Yu made it painless. Managed to go about my day right after the procedure. It’s been a few days since the procedure but so far so good. Also the Studio Manager, Neday was so extremely helpful. Thank you all.
From start to finish, I was given fantastic care from the dental team. Everything was explained during each process. This first cleaning I received in 5 years that was not painful. I appreciate that the most.
Can I say, I’ve been to a bunch of dental offices and the Tend location on Capitol Hill is the best place. I’m sure the other tend offices are amazing as well but this was the only location I’ve been too and the front desk, hygienists and dentists are so kind and considerate. They always ask if I feel any pain or ask if I’d like to turn the channel to any particular show I’d like to watch while I get my cleaning. The tools they use are top of line and I have never had any issues with them working with my health insurance. I have Delta Dental and I’ve never needed to do any extra work to resolve any coding issues like I had to do in Hawaii and some offices in the DMV. When coming to see my family after the holidays I literally scheduled an appointment to see them. I now only trust them to work on my teeth. I had prior issues in the past with dental offices not related to Tend on Maple Lawn where I found that they were doing unnecessary fillings and went to this office the first time and they showed me my X-ray and said I didn’t need the fillings.
Everything from making an appointment for an emergency visit and having them expedite the process to have me seen and treatment complete quickly was great. Dr. Cook and his team paid attention to detail. Will definitely be back!

[My hygienist] really cared about my teeth and took the extra mile to properly clean it, take pictures, explain to them, answer my questions, and give me suggestions. I would usually be at the dentist for about 20-40 minutes at most, but I spent over an hour with her, and honestly, I think she did a 5-star job.
I’ve been going to tend for the last six months for Invisalign treatment and I already notice a HUGE difference. ☺️ I have been very happy with each of my visits. They are always welcoming right when I enter and I have never had to wait that long to get called back. Great service and treatment!!!

One of the best experiences I’ve had since my childhood dentist. I hat a kind and loving staff all the way through !! The front desk is very welcoming, the Hygenist is so attentive and the Dentist is very informative and answers all questions. The televisions on the ceiling and offering moisturizer for the lips are such a nice nod to the care and comfort of the patients. Thank you for such a wonderful experience.
The time between when I first made contact with Tend and when I had my custom night guard in my hand was 15 days, which has to be some sort of record. All for about half the price that other dentists in the area quoted me. The dentist and her hygienist/assistant were very kind, knowledgeable, and prompt. I’m very grateful to Tend!
Outstanding experience! My appointment was on time and everything was explained to me before services were provided. I was especially impressed with their Lead Hygienist (Louis), who was incredibly thorough and a pleasure to deal with. He devoted his full attention to me and I felt like I was the only patient receiving care. So happy to have found a location that I will use as my regular dental provider. I am very happy I switched from my old dentist to Tend. Their facility is new and modern and very high tech. The staff is friendly, attentive, and very professional.
So, I am really into posh looking stuff, so aesthetically this place is leagues above what I’m used to from dentists. But to be honest, I fully expected the staff to be less than ideal. It was the exact opposite; from the front desk to the back, everyone is really polished (ba dum, tish), knowledge and caring. Every client, including myself are made to feel at home and just have a peaceful vibe about us when we leave. By far the best dental experience I've ever had! Everyone was friendly. The location was very clean. The staff was very informative and was able to answer any questions I had. The only issue I had was that it took an abnormally long time to verify my insurance coverage.

- A gentle, professional cleaning tailored to your needs

We’ll also review your dental history, talk about your goals (whether it’s improving your oral health or brightening your smile), and give you time to ask questions—without feeling rushed.

Call us at 212-257-3455. Just make sure to do so more than 48 hours before your appointment time. If you cancel or reschedule less than 48 hours in advance, we’ll have to charge you a $50 fee. If you don’t make it at all, we’ll have to charge you a $100 fee. This is because we reserved that time specifically for you, and our appointments are in high demand.
