Dr. Justin Dole is known for his thoughtful, down-to-earth approach and his commitment to helping patients feel at ease. He earned his DMD from the Midwestern University College of Dental Medicine, where he developed a strong clinical foundation in restorative and preventative care. At Tend, Dr. Dole sees patients at both Post Office Square and Fenway, and is dedicated to creating treatment plans that are personalized, practical, and built around each patient's long-term health goals.

This was truly the best experience I had at a dental office. After all of the many years of dental work I received. The office manager Kim assured me that I was in good hands with her team and Dr. The reception area and office are exclusively high class and in impeccable condition. Chelsea was a doll as she greeted all guests with a little kit to freshen up. Nia was caring and attentive while assisting the doctor with all my concerns. Dr. G was amazing and addressed all my concerns. Her plan was reassuring, and I left feeling great about the next steps and can't wait for my next appointment. This is an AMAZING team. I had an amazing experience with Dr. Dan Kim! He was incredibly personable and took the time to thoroughly explain my dental issue in detail. I’ve been dealing with a recurring problem that two other dentists couldn’t resolve. Even one of whom nearly cost me a significant amount of money. Thankfully, Dr. Kim was able to get me on the right track, saving me from unnecessary stress and expense. I’ve also struggled with teeth grinding for as long as I can remember. Other professionals brushed it off as stress with no real solutions, but Dr. Kim provided actionable steps to address it, and I’m so grateful. His patience, kindness, and genuine care made me feel confident enough to trust him completely. I’ll definitely be returning to Dr. Kim and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a knowledgeable, compassionate, and trustworthy dentist!
Wonderful experience at Tend Rockefeller. The staff members are friendly, the facility is super clean and modern, and my dentist Dr. Vana B is amazing. She explains the procedures very thoroughly and she is attentive. Excellent work. Dental assistant Rosa ensured I was comfortable and well-cared for throughout my appointment. I’d recommend this location.
The cleanest & most welcoming facility! I have seen two dentists- both were quick, thorough, and communicated with me throughout my visit. Dr. Alexa even hummed (v well!) through my fillings 😂 She took the extra time to floss my fluoride treatment through my teeth, even though it was a particularly busy morning. Also- the toothbrushes in their guest bags are the best. Highly recommend!
I had my doubts about a boutique dentist but tend surpassed my expectations! The service was great! My hygienist was friendly and gentle and explained everything clearly every step of the way. I am actually a little apprehensive of the dentist and was nervous from the moment I walked through the door. But my hygienist was calm and talked me through what they would be working on that day. I got my exam and cleaning. Midway through my dentist came in to explain my X-rays and the plan I would be on for the next couple visits. Once the cleaning was over I met with someone who explained my plan in detail and how I can edit my plan at anytime to fit my schedule or financial needs. I’m thrilled by my experience.

Just finished having major work done. Incredible job by Dr Kim and the Tend-Ballston staff. They addressed dental problems I had ignored for a decade. I had 3 crowns installed on the left and a major bridge on the right. No pain, a great outcome, and all done in 2 visits. I highly recommend Tend and Dr Kim. It’s how dentistry should be in the 21st century.
Great experience! Very friendly and professional service. I went in for a regular checkup and the whole process was a breeze. They accepted my insurance and told me their costs prior to my appointment. They were punctual and didn't make me wait in the lobby at all. You get to watch Netflix during your appointment. The office was very clean and modern as well. Best dentist experience I've ever had!
From The warm and friendly greeting at the door, to the Cleanliness of the facility, to the professionalism and warmth of the staff… Could not ask for more! Everything was explained in detail, from insurance to Out-of-pocket costs, everything was open and honest. I felt my service was extremely detailed and well executed.

I had a really nice experience at Tend - from a comprehensive scheduling process, to them running my insurance ahead of time so I knew exactly what was covered, to a great cleaning and quick dentist visit. When the dentist suggested a nightguard I was immediately told what my insurance would cover for that, so I could make my decision with all of the facts. Very happy with my experience.
I’ve been going to Tend for about a year now, they’re absolutely wonderful. There’s never any wait, they take you right at your appointment time. My hygienist was Christine and she was amazing. She educated me on some things, was very friendly, very gentle with the cleaning because I have very sensitive teeth. They never push anything on you and they’re very thorough with their cleanings. It’s also a very clean environment which you definitely want! I’d highly recommend!
I had a great experience! I Came here for a cleaning/ general checkup. Doctor was very thorough and went through X-rays with me and answered all my questions. And the hygienist i had did an excellent job. He was super thoughtful and left my teeth sparkly clean without hurting me. And the office itself is adorable, it’s very clean and well decorated. Overall it was a great experience and I will be returning!

As a person with some dentist anxiety this was a nerve wracking appointment. Oksana took such great care of me and was so patient. It was easy to trust them and everyone made me very comfortable.
This was my first time at Tend, and I loved it! The entire process to book an appointment was super easy and seamless. They took my insurance and the entire visit was covered. The office was very clean, modern and nice! Said they’ve only been open in that location about 6 months. My dental hygienist Emily was very sweet and walked me through everything she was doing. Absolutely. We partner with major dental insurers to get you amazing care at amazing prices. We also offer a real-time online benefits check before you come in. We’ll show you the maximum cost for your dental visit, so you’ll never pay more than you expect. The insurers we partner with include: Delta Dental, Aetna, Cigna, United Healthcare, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Empire Blue Cross Blue Shield, Guardian, MetLife, United Concordia, Principal, Oxford Health Plans, and Ameritas. We recommend coming in for a cleaning and checkup every six months, which is the standard for most patients. These regular visits help us catch small issues—like early signs of decay or gum disease—before they become more serious or expensive to treat.
However, some patients may need to come in more frequently, especially if they have a history of gum disease, wear orthodontic appliances like aligners, or are more prone to plaque buildup. Your dentist will work with you to create a personalized care plan based on your needs, so you’re always getting the right level of care at the right time.
Even if everything looks great, cleanings help remove plaque and tartar that you can’t get rid of with brushing and flossing alone—and they’re key to keeping your smile feeling fresh and looking its best.
Your first visit is designed to be both thorough and welcoming. Here’s what it includes:
- A complete dental exam to assess your teeth, gums, bite, and overall oral health
- Digital x-rays for a detailed look below the surface (with significantly lower radiation than traditional x-rays)
- A gentle, professional cleaning tailored to your needs
- A one-on-one conversation with your dentist, who will walk you through any findings, answer your questions, and create a treatment plan if needed
We’ll also review your dental history, talk about your goals (whether it’s improving your oral health or brightening your smile), and give you time to ask questions—without feeling rushed.
The environment is designed to feel calm and spa-like, so you can relax and actually enjoy taking care of your smile.
Call us at 212-257-3455. Just make sure to do so more than 48 hours before your appointment time. If you cancel or reschedule less than 48 hours in advance, we’ll have to charge you a $50 fee. If you don’t make it at all, we’ll have to charge you a $100 fee. This is because we reserved that time specifically for you, and our appointments are in high demand.
