Our dental team recommends that you come in for a cleaning and checkup every six months, which is the standard for most patients. These routine checkups help us catch small issues, such as early signs of decay or gum disease, before they become more serious or expensive to treat.
Some patients may need to visit more frequently, especially if they have a history of gum disease, wear orthodontic appliances such as aligners, or are more prone to plaque buildup. Your dentist will work with you to create a personalized care plan based on your needs, so you’re always getting the right level of care at the right time.
Even if everything looks great, cleanings help remove plaque and tartar that brushing and flossing alone can't remove, and they’re key to keeping your smile feeling fresh and looking its best.
