It's recommended that most patients come in for a cleaning and checkup every six months. These routine exams help us catch small issues, such as early signs of decay or gum disease, before they become more serious and, in many cases, more expensive to treat.
However, some patients may need to come in more frequently, especially if they have a history of gum disease, wear orthodontic appliances like aligners, or are more prone to plaque buildup. Your dentist will work with you to create a personalized care plan based on your needs, so you’re always getting the right level of care at the right time.
Even if everything looks good, professional cleanings help remove plaque and tartar that brushing and flossing alone can't eliminate, and they are essential for keeping your smile feeling fresh and looking its best.
If you need to cancel your appointment, please call us at (571) 543-3161 . Please let us know at least 48 hours before your appointment time. We reserve that time specifically for you, and our appointments are in high demand, so we appreciate as much notice as possible if you need to reschedule.
You can also log into your profile on the Tend Dental app to make any changes needed, including cancelling and rescheduling.
