Favorite dentist experience of all time. I have a significant amount of anxiety around dental care, but I felt totally at ease for my entire appointment. Every single Tend team member, from receptionist to hygienist to dentist, was kind and walked me through everything they were doing. I was consulted about cost prior to procedures. I am genuinely so grateful for Tend Park Slope and look forward to my next appointment.

Everyone was attentive and helpful. I was somewhat tentative about going to a 'chain' dentistry place. I've always gone to a single dentists office .. old school. I have dental insurance and they came and went thru everything with me and showed me the costs right up front. My last dentist took months and then surprised me with a substantial bill. Somebody was very smart when they set up Tend. Glad I went there!

I self scheduled an early morning appointment before work over the holiday weekend. They clarified that my insurance covered my visit and were incredibly timely and direct with the services provided. I cannot recall my hygienist’s name, but she had incredible bedside manner and was very informative. I’ll definitely be returning for future appointments.

Frequently asked questions
We want your visit to feel effortless from start to finish. Below, you’ll find answers to some of the most frequently asked questions about what to expect during your visit.
Yes, we are currently welcoming new patients at Tend Dental Park Slope! Whether it has been six months or six years since your last dental visit, our team is here to ensure you feel comfortable. We take pride in offering a judgment-free environment where every patient receives compassionate and respectful care.
Your first visit will include a comprehensive exam, a detailed review of your oral health, and time to discuss any concerns or goals you have. We want to ensure you feel well-informed, relaxed, and completely supported right from the moment you walk through the door.
We partner with many major dental insurers to help make care more accessible, and most PPO insurance plans are accepted at our studio.
The insurers we commonly work with include Delta Dental, Aetna, Cigna, UnitedHealthcare, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Empire Blue Cross Blue Shield, Guardian, MetLife, United Concordia, Principal, Oxford Health Plans, and Ameritas.
At Tend Dental Park Slope, we aim to make paying for your dental care as simple and stress-free as possible.
You can securely pay your bill online with easy, encrypted options like HSA/FSA cards, credit or debit cards, Apple Pay/Google Pay, and more. Through our partner Cedar, you can view your insurance details, track balances, receive reminders, and even set up a custom 0% interest payment plan that fits your budget.
We also offer flexible financing through CareCredit, a healthcare-focused credit option that lets approved patients spread out their dental costs in convenient monthly payments, including for care not fully covered by insurance.
Before any treatment, we’ll clearly explain your expected costs and payment choices so you feel confident moving forward
Please give us a call at (347) 201-6484. We ask that you do so more than 48 hours before your scheduled appointment time. We appreciate as much notice as possible if you need to reschedule so we can offer your space to another who might be waiting.
You can also log into your profile on the Tend Dental app to make any changes needed, including cancelling and rescheduling.
We recommend visiting us for a cleaning and checkup every six months, which is the standard for most patients. These regular visits help us catch small issues, such as early signs of decay or gum disease, before they become more serious or expensive to treat.
However, some patients may need to visit more frequently, especially if they have a history of gum disease, wear orthodontic appliances like aligners, or are more prone to plaque buildup. Your dentist will work closely with you to develop a personalized care plan that fits your needs. This way, you'll always receive the perfect level of care exactly when you need it, making your dental experience as comfortable and effective as possible.
Even if everything looks great, cleanings help remove plaque and tartar that brushing and flossing alone can't remove, and they’re key to keeping your smile feeling fresh and looking its best.
Our goal is to provide modern, mindful dental care for the whole family and make your first visit both thorough and welcoming. Here’s what you can expect:
A complete dental exam to assess your teeth, gums, bite, and overall oral health
Digital X-rays for a detailed look below the surface (with significantly lower radiation than traditional X-rays)
A gentle, professional cleaning tailored to your needs
A one-on-one conversation with your dentist, who will walk you through any findings, answer your questions, and create a treatment plan if needed
We will also review your dental history, discuss your goals (whether it’s improving your oral health or brightening your smile), and provide you with time to ask questions without feeling rushed.
Our studio environment is designed to be calm and soothing, creating a peaceful space where you can truly unwind and enjoy taking care of your smile.

Flossing once a day is one of the simplest ways to protect your smile, but there’s a little more to it than just going through the motions. Here’s what dentists recommend, why it works, and how to make it part of your routine.
Choosing a dentist for your family is a decision that shapes how your kids will feel about dental visits well into adulthood, and how easy it is to maintain your family's oral health over time. So instead of asking, “Which dentist is closest?” a better question might be: Which one actually fits how we live?
What if feeling exhausted wasn’t just “part of life”? For many people, treating sleep apnea is a turning point. one that can lead to more consistent energy, clearer thinking, and a renewed sense of feeling like themselves again.
