I get very nervous going to the dentist but I was completely at ease here. The hygenist and dentist were extremely knowledgeable and thorough. The appointment was not rushed at all which is rare in NYC. I highly recommend Tend and can't wait to go back (who thought I'd be excited for the dentist???)!

They accepted my insurance and told me their costs prior to my appointment. They were punctual and didn't make me wait in the lobby at all. You get to watch Netflix during your appointment. The cleanest & most welcoming facility! I have seen two dentists- both were quick, thorough, and communicated with me throughout my visit. Dr. Alexa even hummed (v well!) through my fillings 😂 She took the extra time to floss my fluoride treatment through my teeth, even though it was a particularly busy morning. I love love loveddddd my experience! This was my first time and the place was gorgeous, clean. I was welcomed upon entry and helped right away. Everything felt personalized. I enjoyed being a part of the whole visit, I saw my X-rays right on the screen in front of me as they were being taken, I got to watch a show which I chose before hand while I had my cleaning done. The dentist explained every part of the exam and what she was doing, what she found. Best dental experience ever!

Your first visit will include a comprehensive exam, a detailed review of your oral health, and time to talk through any concerns or goals you have. We’ll make sure you feel informed, comfortable, and fully supported from the moment you walk in.
We recommend coming in for a cleaning and checkup every six months, which is the standard for most patients. These regular visits help us catch small issues—like early signs of decay or gum disease—before they become more serious or expensive to treat.
However, some patients may need to come in more frequently, especially if they have a history of gum disease, wear orthodontic appliances like aligners, or are more prone to plaque buildup. Your dentist will work with you to create a personalized care plan based on your needs, so you’re always getting the right level of care at the right time.
Even if everything looks great, cleanings help remove plaque and tartar that you can’t get rid of with brushing and flossing alone—and they’re key to keeping your smile feeling fresh and looking its best.
Your first visit is designed to be both thorough and welcoming. Here’s what it includes:

We’ll also review your dental history, talk about your goals (whether it’s improving your oral health or brightening your smile), and give you time to ask questions—without feeling rushed.
The environment is designed to feel calm and spa-like, so you can relax and actually enjoy taking care of your smile.
Call us at 212-257-3455. Just make sure to do so more than 48 hours before your appointment time. If you cancel or reschedule less than 48 hours in advance, we’ll have to charge you a $50 fee. If you don’t make it at all, we’ll have to charge you a $100 fee. This is because we reserved that time specifically for you, and our appointments are in high demand.
