Dr. Laraccas is amazing. I was very nervous—she was very thorough and made me feel comfortable. When I came in, I was greeted by Karen, who is great! The dental hygienists were also very thorough and explained everything along the way! The practice is so modern! I would recommend my family and friends visit Tend!

20/10 experience, Dr. Cook was amazing, kind, calming, and quick! He made me feel completely comfortable, fixed my tooth, and I still made my flight the next day. Now he’s helping me set up a plan to take care of everything else so this doesn’t happen again. Couldn’t ask for a better dentist or experience!

My first experience at Tend, and honestly, I had such a great experience. Skarlen was so communicative throughout my appointment and did a great job of keeping me comfortable. They also walked me through my care plan and were upfront about what my insurance covered. I can’t wait to continue with Tend for my upcoming appointments.

1st experience at Tend after a close friend had recommended it to me, and I had a Friday afternoon appointment. The assistance was very punctual, the front desk was very detail-oriented, and the staff was very friendly and kind. Looking forward to my future follow-ups.

I’ve been a patient here for a couple of years and have always had a great experience. Dr. Horowitz takes care of my masseter Botox, and I go for regular cleanings and have seen other dentists in the practice. They have all been wonderful, and I recommend Tend to everyone I know.

Frequently asked questions
Your questions matter to us! Browse the FAQs below for helpful information that'll make your visit to Tend Dental Grand Central even smoother.
Yes, we’re currently welcoming new patients at Tend Dental Grand Central! Turn worry into can’t-wait-to-go-again and enjoy judgment-free, hassle-free dental care. Whether it’s been six months or six years since your last dental appointment, our team is here to help you feel relaxed during your visit. We aim to create a judgment-free environment where every patient is treated with empathy and will feel respected.
Your first visit will include a comprehensive exam, a detailed review of your oral health, and time to talk through any concerns or goals you have. We’ll ensure you feel well-informed, comfortable, and fully supported from the moment you walk in.
We accept many major dental insurance plans, with support to help you navigate your coverage and benefits.
The dental insurance providers we partner with include Delta Dental, Aetna, Cigna, UnitedHealthcare, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Empire Blue Cross Blue Shield, Guardian, MetLife, United Concordia, Principal, Oxford Health Plans, and Ameritas.
You can securely pay your bill online with easy, encrypted options like HSA/FSA cards, credit or debit cards, Apple Pay/Google Pay, and more. Through our partner Cedar, you can view your insurance details, track balances, receive reminders, and even set up a custom 0% interest payment plan that fits your budget.
We also offer flexible financing through CareCredit, a healthcare-focused credit option that lets approved patients spread out their dental costs in convenient monthly payments, including for care not fully covered by insurance.
Before any treatment, we’ll clearly explain your expected costs and payment choices so you feel confident moving forward
Call us at (646) 535-0969 if you need to reschedule your dental appointment. Please make sure to do so more than 48 hours before your appointment time. We reserve that time specifically for you, and our appointments are in high demand, so we appreciate as much notice as possible if you need to reschedule.
You can also log into your profile on the Tend app to make any changes needed, including cancelling and rescheduling.
We recommend scheduling a cleaning and checkup every six months, which is the common practice for most patients. These routine appointments allow us to detect minor problems such as early decay or gum disease before they escalate or require more costly treatment.
Some patients may need to come in more frequently, especially if they have a history of gum disease, wear orthodontic appliances like aligners, or are more prone to plaque buildup. Your dentist will work with you to develop a personalized care plan tailored to your needs, ensuring you receive appropriate care at the right times.
Even if everything looks great, cleanings help remove plaque and tartar that brushing and flossing alone can't remove, and they’re key to keeping your smile feeling fresh and looking its best.
Your initial visit is intended to be comprehensive and friendly. Here’s what it includes:
A dental exam to assess and provide an overall view of your teeth, gums, bite, and oral health
Digital X-rays for a detailed look below the surface (with significantly lower radiation than traditional X-rays)
A gentle, professional cleaning tailored to your needs
A one-on-one conversation with your dentist, who will walk you through any findings, answer your questions, and create a treatment plan if needed
We’ll also review your dental history and talk about your goals (whether it’s improving your oral health or brightening your smile). Plus, you'll have plenty of time to ask any questions you may have, all at a relaxed pace.
The environment is designed to feel calm and soothing, so you can relax and actually enjoy taking care of your smile.

Flossing once a day is one of the simplest ways to protect your smile, but there’s a little more to it than just going through the motions. Here’s what dentists recommend, why it works, and how to make it part of your routine.
Choosing a dentist for your family is a decision that shapes how your kids will feel about dental visits well into adulthood, and how easy it is to maintain your family's oral health over time. So instead of asking, “Which dentist is closest?” a better question might be: Which one actually fits how we live?
What if feeling exhausted wasn’t just “part of life”? For many people, treating sleep apnea is a turning point. one that can lead to more consistent energy, clearer thinking, and a renewed sense of feeling like themselves again.
