Most patients should return for a cleaning and checkup every six months. These regular visits help us catch small issues, such as early signs of decay or gum disease, before they become more serious or expensive to treat.
However, some patients may need to visit more frequently, especially if they have a history of gum disease, wear orthodontic appliances like aligners, or are more prone to plaque buildup. Your dentist will create a personalized care plan to support lifelong dental wellness for you and your loved ones, ensuring that you receive the right level of care.
Even if everything looks great, cleanings help remove plaque and tartar that brushing and flossing alone can't remove, and they’re key to keeping your smile feeling fresh and looking its best.
