Tend Dental is the most painless, pleasant dental experience I’ve had! I have major dental issues, missing half my teeth, and have had many cavities, abscessed infected teeth, and crooked teeth throughout my life. I got braces as a teenager, but later in life Tend saved me by pulling infected teeth and creating a basic treatment plan and course of action to address my urgent need, and all procedures were pretty painless, and all the people I worked with have been totally non-judgmental and didn’t make me feel any kind of way, which is super important!!

Emily S Hell’s Kitchen
Amazing experience. Staff was all lovely and skilled, while also offering referrals for unique situations but flexibly willing to work with the patient’s situation/wishes. Most comfortable cleaning I’ve ever gotten, to the point it felt more soothing than anything. Being able to balance a human touch with deep competence in a clinic like this was really surprising, even having had very positive experiences at other locations.

I had a perfect experience during my dental exam and filling. The entire team made me feel so comfortable from the moment I walked in. Dr. Ferrante explained everything clearly, checked in with me throughout the procedure, and made sure I never felt any discomfort! The filling was quick, painless, and incredibly well done. Highly recommend!

Staff is amazing! The space is modern and upbeat. No “upselling” of additional services or procedures that aren’t critical. Dr. Ferrante is knowledgeable and takes the time to review all the X-rays and images on the big screen in front of you while visually explaining recommended procedures and options for addressing less critical issues in the future. The swag bag ain’t too shabby either!

Frequently asked questions
We want your visit to be perfect! Browse our FAQs for useful information and answers to help you plan your trip to Tend Hells Kitchen.
Yes, we’re currently welcoming new patients at Tend Hells Kitchen! Whether it’s been six months or six years since your last dental appointment, our team is here to make you feel at ease. We pride ourselves on creating a judgment-free environment where every patient is treated with empathy and respect.
Your first visit will include a comprehensive exam, a detailed review of your oral health, and time to talk through any concerns or goals you have. We aim to help you feel the care in every detail and leave confident about your dental health.
We partner with major dental insurers and will help you understand how your benefits apply to your care.
The insurers we partner with include Delta Dental, Aetna, Cigna, UnitedHealthcare, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Empire Blue Cross Blue Shield, Guardian, MetLife, United Concordia, Principal, Oxford Health Plans, and Ameritas.
You can securely pay your bill online with easy, encrypted options like HSA/FSA cards, credit or debit cards, Apple Pay/Google Pay, and more. Through our partner Cedar, you can view your insurance details, track balances, receive reminders, and even set up a custom 0% interest payment plan that fits your budget.
We also offer flexible financing through CareCredit, a healthcare-focused credit option that lets approved patients spread out their dental costs in convenient monthly payments, including for care not fully covered by insurance. Our goal is to provide high-quality dental services while using today’s tech to make care more affordable.
Before any treatment, we’ll clearly explain your expected costs and payment choices so you feel confident moving forward
We recommend coming in for a cleaning and checkup every six months, which is the standard for most patients. These regular visits help us catch small issues like early signs of decay or gum disease before they become more serious or expensive to treat.
However, some patients may need to come in more frequently, especially if they have a history of gum disease, wear orthodontic appliances like aligners, or are more prone to plaque buildup. Your dentist will help create a personalized care plan so you can see a fuller picture of your dental health and stay on track with preventive care.
Even if everything looks great, cleanings help remove plaque and tartar that brushing and flossing alone can't remove, and they’re key to keeping your smile feeling fresh and looking its best.
Your first visit is designed to be both thorough and welcoming. Here’s what it includes:
A complete dental exam to assess your teeth, gums, bite, and overall oral health
Digital X-rays for a detailed look below the surface (with significantly lower radiation than traditional X-rays)
A gentle, professional cleaning tailored to your needs
A one-on-one conversation with your dentist, who will walk you through any findings, answer your questions, and create a treatment plan if needed
We’ll also review your dental history, talk about your goals (whether it’s improving your oral health or brightening your smile), and give you time to ask questions without feeling rushed.
The environment is designed to feel calm and soothing, so you can relax and actually enjoy taking care of your smile.
Call us at (646) 582-0672. Just make sure to do so more than 48 hours before your appointment time. We reserve that time specifically for you, and our appointments are in high demand, so we appreciate as much notice as possible if you need to reschedule.
You can also log into your profile on the Tend Dental app to make any changes needed, including cancelling and rescheduling. This makes it easy to update your schedule quickly and make care easy on your mind and your calendar.

Flossing once a day is one of the simplest ways to protect your smile, but there’s a little more to it than just going through the motions. Here’s what dentists recommend, why it works, and how to make it part of your routine.
Choosing a dentist for your family is a decision that shapes how your kids will feel about dental visits well into adulthood, and how easy it is to maintain your family's oral health over time. So instead of asking, “Which dentist is closest?” a better question might be: Which one actually fits how we live?
What if feeling exhausted wasn’t just “part of life”? For many people, treating sleep apnea is a turning point. one that can lead to more consistent energy, clearer thinking, and a renewed sense of feeling like themselves again.
