What is a dental implant?
An implant is an amazing way to improve your bite and restore your smile. It has two main parts: the implant, which is set in your jaw, and a crown, which is secured on top.
Why should I get a dental implant?
Needing an implant is extremely common. If you have a tooth that's damaged or decayed, chewing may be a challenge. If you're missing a tooth, you may have a gap in your smile. With an implant, you'll chew like a champ and smile confidently. Bridges solve the same problem, but they're a bit more invasive, requiring work on surrounding teeth, and they don't last as long.
Will getting a dental implant hurt?
Dental implant surgery is performed with local anesthesia, which numbs the area. This means you will experience little to no discomfort during the procedure. The healing process can be lengthy before you’re ready for your permanent restoration; you may need a temporary restoration in the meantime. Most patients return to work within a day or two.
What's the dental implant process?
This is a multi-visit treatment that's customized just for you, and each visit can take up to two hours.
How long will my dental implant last?
Implants are as durable as they are functional and beautiful. When properly cared for, your implant can last for decades.
