Love Tend. I typically go to the Cobble Hill location, but decided to go to this one because it is closer to work. I don’t regret it at all. The dentist was amazing, and the dental hygienist who cleaned my teeth was very patient and had a relaxed hand. The environment is great. The people who work there are really nice. The offices are clean and modern. Tend really turns going to the dentist into an awesome experience.

Dr. Angela Abernathy is so kind, knowledgeable, and makes you feel super comfortable. The young lady at the front desk is really nice as well. My hygienist, Shacore, was amazing too! Great experience every visit.

Everyone is outstanding, with professionalism and concern for your dental well-being. Honest and upfront with what’s going on and why, and most importantly, what preventative measures to take and continue to follow, along with providing upfront costs if there are any.

I had an excellent experience at this dental office today. From the front desk to the clinical team, everyone was professional, welcoming, and organized. The entire visit was smooth and stress-free. The dentist was equally impressive. He was knowledgeable, patient, and took the time to carefully review everything with me. He answered my questions clearly and made sure I understood my dental health plan moving forward. I never felt rushed—just well cared for.

I went for my 6-month dental cleaning and had a great experience. The check-in process was very quick and smooth. The dental hygienist and dentist were both very friendly, and the room was very clean. The hygienist started the process by taking X-rays first, then did the cleaning, and then I met with the dentist to walk through the X-rays. They also ask which toothpaste flavor you want to try (vanilla bean, watermelon, or sparkling mint). I tried vanilla bean, and it was very subtle. Already scheduled my next dental cleaning!

I go to tend regularly as my primary dentist. Yesterday I chipped my tooth in the morning and by the end of the it was looking better than it did before it was chipped!! I was able to get an appointment right after work and the filling took about 30 mins, quick and painless. Dr. Chan is amazing!!!

We recommend coming in for a cleaning and checkup every six months, which is the standard for most patients. These regular visits help us identify minor issues such as early signs of decay or gum disease before they develop into more serious or expensive to treat, so you can feel the care in every detail of your dental experience.
However, some patients might need to visit more often, particularly if they have a history of gum disease, wear orthodontic appliances like aligners, or are more prone to plaque buildup. Your dentist will work with you to create a personalized care plan based on your needs, so you’re always getting the right level of care at the right time.
Even if everything looks great, cleanings help remove plaque and tartar that brushing and flossing alone can't remove, and they’re essential for keeping your smile feeling fresh and looking its best.
Your first visit is designed around how you want to feel. Here’s what it includes:
A complete dental exam to assess your teeth, gums, bite, and overall oral health
Digital X-rays provide a clear, detailed view beneath the surface with much lower radiation compared to traditional X-rays
A gentle, professional cleaning customized to your dental health needs
A one-on-one consultation with your dentist, who will review any findings, answer your questions, and develop a treatment plan if necessary
We’ll also review your dental history, talk about your goals (whether it’s improving your oral health or brightening your smile), and give you time to ask questions without feeling rushed.
The environment is designed to feel calm and soothing, so you can relax and enjoy the process of caring for your smile.
Please contact our team at (917) 336-3125 if you need to cancel an appointment. Just make sure to do so more than 48 hours before your scheduled time. We reserve that time specifically for you, and our appointments are in high demand. We appreciate as much notice as possible if you need to reschedule.
You can also log into your profile on the Tend app to make any changes needed, including cancelling and rescheduling.

Flossing once a day is one of the simplest ways to protect your smile, but there’s a little more to it than just going through the motions. Here’s what dentists recommend, why it works, and how to make it part of your routine.
Choosing a dentist for your family is a decision that shapes how your kids will feel about dental visits well into adulthood, and how easy it is to maintain your family's oral health over time. So instead of asking, “Which dentist is closest?” a better question might be: Which one actually fits how we live?
What if feeling exhausted wasn’t just “part of life”? For many people, treating sleep apnea is a turning point. one that can lead to more consistent energy, clearer thinking, and a renewed sense of feeling like themselves again.
